Switch matrices are used to increase test capacity and flexibility. If devices are stressed in parallel or need to be selected individually from multi-device test structures, a switch matrix is the best choice in many cases. Switch matrices from mb-Technologies use high performance relays connecting input and output channels by software control.

We offer full matrix models where each input can be connected to any output or application specific models with an optimized matrix to further increase capacity. Some models have a matrix display and user interface for debugging purposes.

To increase lifetime relays should be opened or closed without voltage or current applied. This is known as 'cold switching'. If relays need to be switched with voltages applied the software driver automatically ensures the current remains below safe values.

All models offer low leakage, high switching speed, long lifetime and full software integration with other test systerm components. Customer specific solutions also available on request.

Switch Matrix Models:

  • HCM1016: This multiplexer is designed for degradation measurements of transistors on package level. Up to 16 DUTS can be stressed simultaneously but individually be measured.
  • MUX10XX: This multiplexers allow any combination of connections between the 6 input channels and up to 64 output channels.
  • MX 06X08: The smallest unit provides 6 input and 8 output channels. Larger matrices of any size can configured by using more units.
